Leave and Absence
- Absentees must enter briefly the reason for their absence in the ‹Leave Record’ page of the Diary. Reason of private nature may be submitted through a letter. A student’s name will be deleted from the Rolls if he/she is absent for 10 days without intimation of leave.
- If for a serious reason a child is to be taken home, the parent must apply for it in writing. All exemptions/permissions / information, etc. must be sought through the Principal.
- A student will not be sent home with any other person, unless the latter produces a letter of authorization from the parents.
- Leave is granted only on the basis of a prior written Application from the Parent / Guardian, except in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- Absence from School for a Test / Examination will not be condoned, except in case of illness. The Principal has to be intimated on the same day, and a Medical Certificate will have to be submitted. However, an Application / Medical Certificate for leave on examination days for a student of Classes X, XI and XII should be personally submitted by one of the parents on the same day. The School does not conduct a retest or reexamination.
- Every absence must be entered in brief in the pages of the Diary meant for the same.
- Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than 10 days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck-off from the Rolls. Re-admission in the matter will have to be sought.
- Separate Leave Notes should be submitted for siblings going to different Classes/sections.
- A student returning to School after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a Doctor’s certificate permitting him/her to resume classes. The student is also subject to conditions given below. Student suffering from the following must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to the class.
